“I Am So Beautiful" Fashion Show

This has been one of the most significant events our foundation has ever organized—a monumental effort requiring endless planning, logistics, and dedication. At times, it felt like chaos. I remember thinking, What have I gotten myself into? I had no experience managing anything of this scale. All I knew was that I had to bring joy to children and inject hope into families who felt the walls closing in around them.

I also knew I had to fulfill a promise: to share what my daughter once said—
"Tell them who Princess Khrystle was. Tell them the children are suffering."
Or as I now say: “We have to stir the chicken coop.”

In the early days of the event, I released a small publication calling for children to voluntarily join the parade. It sparked controversy. Some people online criticized me, accusing me of exploiting children with cancer for personal gain. The backlash was painful—but the truth spoke louder.

Our inbox overflowed with messages from parents. They told me their children wanted to participate. They asked, “Can they come with crutches? In wheelchairs? What should they wear—something formal, or sporty? What color dress?”

And then something magical happened. A high-end fashion studio in Dadeland generously lent us 15 luxurious princess gowns. In the final segment of the event, our teen models wore these stunning dresses, closing the show with what we call the “broche de oro”—the crowning touch.

The fashion show took place in Key Biscayne, in a breathtaking venue by the sea—decorated to perfection for such a special day. The children walked the runway in elegant and sporty outfits, across three segments interspersed with music. More than 200 people attended: parents, friends, and even members of the curious press.

But it was the audience—the parents and the press—who gave us the most unforgettable gift. They stood, applauding non-stop, tears of joy in their eyes, as they watched our brave little models shine. Their strength, beauty, and boundless will to live lit up the room.

Now, after 25 years of a challenging and deeply meaningful journey, we are thrilled to bring this unforgettable event back.

As part of our Silver Anniversary, we are proud to announce that the “I AM SO BEAUTIFUL” Fashion Show will take place once again in Lima, Peru
on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

It will be our way of closing this 25-year chapter with the same “broche de oro” that once moved so many hearts.

Most importantly, this event serves a higher purpose:
to raise awareness in our society about childhood cancer, just as our foundation has always aimed to do.

“I AM SO BEAUTIFUL” – DESFILE DE MODAS:

es uno de los más grandes eventos q nuestra fundación ha logrado realizar con mucho esfuerzo, organización, logística, etc. Hubo momentos de casi locura, q me decía, ¿En qué me he metido? Definitivamente, q no tenía absolutamente ninguna experiencia en ningún evento de esta naturaleza, solo sabia q tenía q darles alegría a los niños e inyectarles energía a estas familias q solo veían las paredes cerrándose a su alrededor. Y concientizar a nuestra sociedad sobre lo que mi hija decía: Diles quien fue la Princesa Khrystle, diles que “Los niños están sufriendo, o como yo digo ahora “Hay q alborotar el gallinero”              Durante la primera fase del evento con la poquita publicación q use para convocar a los niños voluntariamente para participar en este desfile, hubo controversia, causo critica negativa, en las redes decían q estaba usando  la enfermedad del cáncer y a los niños para mi beneficio! Pero el correo electrónico no cesaba de notificarnos, estaba lleno de los formularios de muchos padres que me decían q su niño/a querían participar. Me preguntaban si podían venir con muletas o sillas de ruedas, y de cómo era la vestimenta q iban a usar., formal o deportiva, con qué color de vestido tendrían q llevar!     

¡Un lujoso Atelier de modas en Dadeland nos prestó 15 vestidos de princesas lujosísimos q lo lucieron las adolescentes en el segmento final como cerrando con “El broche de Oro” el evento!                                                                                                       

¡El local donde se realizó el desfile fue en Key Biscayne en un hermoso local frente al mar., deslumbrantemente decorado y a la altura de la ocasión!  Los niños pacientes modelaron vestimentas elegantes o deportivas en tres segmentos e interludios musicales., según la coordinación planeada. Asistieron muchísimo más de 200 invitados entre padres, amistades, y tal vez la curiosa prensa. 

Fueron todos ellos, audiencia y prensa los q más alborozo expresaron, aplaudiendo sin cesar, con ojos llenos de lágrimas de felicidad y admiración al ver a nuestros valientes modelos, demostrando su energía y belleza incomparables, así como sus grandes ganas de vivir.   

Ahora, después de 25 años de arduo transitorio camino hemos decidido celebrar este maravilloso e inspirador evento. Consideramos q  este es una gran forma de cumplir cuánticamente uno de los mas importantes objetivos de nuestra fundación CONCIENTIZAR A NUESTRA SOCIEDAD SOBRE EL CANCER INFANTIL.

Por lo tanto, es pa nosotros un placer compartirles que por motivo de nuestras BODAS DE PLATA  la fundación realizara nuevamente el "I AM SO BEAUTIFUL" fashion show el sabado 6 de diciembre del 2025, cerrando así con BROCHE DE ORO  nuestros 25 años al servicio de nuestros ninos, futuro de nuestra humanidad.
